| How the Translation Tool Works |
| In the Tool's Manager (administrative pages inside your Account Manager specifically for that Tool) will be a link for Translation. Clicking that link will bring up a form that contains the text for every word, instruction, button, link, etc. on the Tool's web pages. Next to each string of text is a form field that will allow you to enter the new text you want substituted for that text string. You can format the new text using simple HTML such as bold, italic, font, color, and the like. This is helpful if you will be translating the text string into two or three different languages. You can separate each by putting them into a different font and/or color. For example, you may be translating the text items into both English and Spanish, so you would put the English translation in blue, followed by a few spaces, and the Spanish translation in red. You would then use the HTML Customization tools to add a key to your color codes at the top or bottom of all pages. |
| Other Ways the Translation Tool Can Be Used |
| The Translation Tool may be used any time you want to change the existing text. You may use the Translation Tool to customize a Tool to suit your specific needs. For instance, if you want to use the Classifieds as a Barter Exchange, you can use the Translation tool to change the text of the Classifieds to suit its use for that purpose. For instance, you could change the word "listings" to "trades" on all pages. In place of the word "categories," you could use the word "groups." Every single piece of text, including links, instructions and buttons, can be changed. |
| How to Get the Translation Tool |
| If you are already a customer, submit a Support Ticket, asking for a quote for the specific Tool you want the Translation Tool added to. The cost will depend upon whether or not the Translation Tool is currently installed for that Tool, or not. If already installed, you will pay only a small, one-time setup fee and a subscription fee [Fee Schedule]. If the Translation Tool has not been installed, you will be given a quote for the cost of installation and the ongoing subscription fee will be waived. |
