Using our email, webmail, or list services to send SPAM, or in any manner which violates our Terms of Use, is strictly prohibited.
We define SPAM as any unsolicited email. If you do not know the person you are emailing, or they have not asked to be sent the email - you are spamming them. If we receive a complaint, which we confirm is legitimate, your account will be closed immediately, without notice and without refund. Additionally, we reserve the right to bring legal action for damages against violators who cause a disruption of email services for our other users. We receive automatic notifications of spam complaints from AOL, MSN/HotMail/Yahoo, Comcast and SpamCop, so we will catch you if you send spam.
Why are we so tough on spammers? Because many email services (such as AOL, MSN, Yahoo! and HotMail), will not accept mail from our servers if we are blacklisted, their users have complained, or they have intercepted spam coming from our servers. A single spammer on our system can prevent ALL email sent from our servers from being delivered.
If you use our service to send spam, you could ruin our list and email services for all our customers. Obviously, we cannot allow this to happen, so we will take quick and decisive action against you.
To help reduce the possibility of our servers being used to send spam, you will not be able to send more than 10 of the same email at one time using either WebMail or POP3. All email lists are required to be opt-in only, subscriber-only or moderator-only posting, and must provide administrator contact and unsubscribe instructions on every post. You may not subscribe someone to your list who has not requested to participate. If you receive notice of a failed unsubscribe request, you must immediately unsubscribe the email address.
